🕉️ Satyanarayan (form of Vishnu)

Every Purnima (full moon) — 12+ times per year

Satyanarayan Vrat

Satyanarayan Vrat is performed on every Purnima (full moon) — and on any auspicious life occasion — for family well-being, business success, and wish fulfilment. The puja combines Ganesha invocation, Navagraha propitiation, and full Shodashopachara puja to Satyanarayan (a form of Vishnu). The heart of the vrat is the recitation of the 5-chapter Satyanarayan Katha (from Skanda Purana), and the offering of churna prasad (32 parts of wheat flour + sugar + ghee + milk + banana). Uniquely — the sapatam (prasad) must not be refused if offered.
